Radiology Ultrasound is the technique of creating images to diagnose and treat illnesses. Radiology is of two types: diagnostic and interventional radiology. Diagnostic radiology is when a doctor specializes in diagnosing the symptoms, finding the cause and the illness, and monitoring the treatment response. Whereas, in interventional diagnosis, doctors use imaging such as CT, ultrasound, MRI, and fluoroscopy to help guide procedures. Doctors use this when they are required to directly detect and treat the illness inside of any body part. Interventional radiology requires a very small to no incision for the treatment to be done.
