He was declared as an “OUTSTANDING STUDENT OF THE DECADE” after standing second in Pre Medical Entrance Test of Punjab State in 1979. He did his MBBS (Medical School) from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar in 1983. He holds numerous Distinctions, Gold and Silver Medals in this five year undergraduate period to his credit He finished his post-graduation, MD (Medicine) from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar in 1988 He did his post-doctoral degree, DM (Cardiology) from the Post Graduate Institute (PGI), Chandigarh in the year 1993.

In this region, he pioneered Colour Doppler Echo Transeosopageal Echo Fetal Echo Ambulatory BP Monitoring He has the largest experience in non-invasive cardiology, Echo, Stress Echo and Fetal Echocardiography in this region.

Delivered Lectures and Key Note addresses at more than 50 cities across India including local, national, and international conferences.
